This is an original Lino Cut Print of a Northern Summer scene featuring a canoe with paddlers  under the north star and constellation; the Big Dipper.  The scene is surrounded by a border of plants and animals. It is hand printed onto delicate unbleached mulberry paper with rich oil based Caligo ink. The paper size is 8"x10". The image size is 5"x7". It floats nicely in an 8"x10" mat or frame. This print is a limited edition of 10. All prints come signed by me, the artist, in pencil and labeled x/10. Your print will arrive in a protective plastic sleeve, with cardboard insert and a recyclable cardboard shipping envelope.
My inspiration for this print came from the challenge of creating a North take of the classic nursery rhyme "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". I was working to create an image for a friend's nursery that would grow with the child.
Due to the handmade nature of the print slight variations may occur between prints.
